Martin Luther King Jr.

Why does the author feel that whites owe King the greatest debt?
The author says for liberating them [whites] from the burden of America's centuries-old hypocrisy about race.

Was King "the right man at the right time"?
He was the perfect fit for the job. He refused to use violence to defend his case. He used civil disobedience to achieve his goal.

Would King be upset with the current use of his most often quoted line? Why or why not?
No, he used it for all races and sexes. He didn't limit that phrase or quote to only African Americans, but directed it at all races, religions, and sexes.
